Swim4Brains Kick Off 2027
the start of your adventure!
The Kick-off Clinic marks the start of your Swim4Brains adventure! On this day, you will receive a lot of information about the event and what you need to know about the IJsselmeer crossing. We will bring you up to speed on the trajectory, the clinics, the guidance by Zwemanalyse, training schedules, and we will determine everyone's entry level with a baseline measurement.
In short: you, your team, and the coaches will get all the information you need for a successful preparation.
This kick-off is mandatory, so block your agenda!
Read more below.
Workshop event information
In these workshops, we will bring you up to speed on the entire event. You will hear what is involved in crossing the IJsselmeer and how to prepare. From training, planning, and logistics, to nutrition and equipment. You will also receive schedules and tips from our partner, Zwemanalyse. Plus, your swim cap, buoy, and water bottle, so you can train with great visibility!

Baseline measurement, analysis and training schedule
You will dive into the pool for half an hour to swim a baseline test under the watchful eye of the trainers from partner ZwemAnalyse. Solos and duos swim approximately 1,500 meters and relay swimmers 1,250 meters in 30 minutes. The experts from ZwemAnalyse will also analyze everyone's technique, and you will receive tips for improvements and training schedules.

Workshop for the coaches
During this workshop, head coach Richard Broer will guide the coaches through what is involved in supporting your swimmer in the water. How do you know if they are still doing well? How do you communicate with them, and how do you help them through the difficult moments? And above all: how do you ensure their safety.

Fundraising Workshop
We are swimming to raise as much money as possible for the Brain Foundation. In this workshop, you will receive tips & tricks, a toolkit containing templates for social posts, a poster, a collection box, and more. Additionally, you will find out what prize is up for grabs for the participant who raises the most money during the holiday-allowance-sprint.
